NZ Motorhome & Caravan Forum & Community
Welcome to the NZ Motorhome & Caravan Forum and Community
The NZ Motorhome Forum was started in August 2008 as a place where anyone interested in motorhomes,
caravans or 5th wheelers could come to ask questions, exchange ideas, offer advice and generally
"hang-out" with those with similar interests. It doesn't matter whether you already own a vehicle or
are still wanting to find out more before putting your toe in the water; whether you have a
professionally built rig or have built (or are building) your own; whether you are full-time on the
road or grab a few days whenever you can: all are equally welcome on this site.
Forum
The "Main Event" on this site will always be the Forum, accessed through the menu in the sidebar to the
right. Anyone may read most of the forum content but if you register on the forum page, then you will
be able to both read and post material. Membership is free. Be sure to read the Forum Guidelines: they
set out a few rules that are intended ensure that the forum remains enjoyable for the majority.
Chat
The Chat facility is still in development, at this stage. Chat membership is linked with Forum membership.
The people in the chat room at any stage are displayed in the forum pages.
Links
Useful links and downloads have now been assembled in their own page and grouped into categories for your
convenience. Links to members blogs and picture galleries are also found here.
Geokiwi
Geokiwi is a map-based resource which allows you to see the location of Dump-Stations, Caltex and Shell
truck-stops and i-sites. The intention is to extend it to cover DOC camps, laundromats and others types
of sites of interest to those on tour.
Directory
This page currently displays links to businesses owned by our members. Please support them.
It is intended that this page will eventually present an on-line directory to locate ALL services,
parts and equipment that we need from time to time. It will most likely be a searchable database,
similar to the TradeMe structure (but only to locate the suppliers: not to complete a purchase).
