seal between vent and lintel? i was thinking using a mastic sealer non drying so it could be removed if needed. the one im removing has been glued down which means i will break to remove. thoughts please and what have others done or used
Thanks Mike

I see your logic but have always been a really big fan of "Break to remove", there is no better seal than a permanent one.
Heard many good things about butyl tape but never tried it, last time I was in Mitre 10 they had a big roll in a bargain bin

I am a strong believer in using Sikaflex 252 for sealing any outside fitting on a caravan or motorhome. This works equally well with fibreglass or aluminium cladding and provides a strong long lasting waterproof and UV stabilised bond. This https://adhesives.nz/adhesives/simson-i ... idge-290ml product is also nan excellent choice. Be sure to clean the new plastic vent frame with isopropyl alcohol to remove the release agent otherwise the adhesive will not adhere.

Agree with previous. Sikaflex is a great product, I have always used 291 due to having boats etc. :TU
